At least until they resort back to the original intentions of the channel AND there reason it’s called MTV in the first place. When I can turn it on at 2 o’ clock in the afternoon and music videos are playing, I’ll watch it again.
MTV was an amazing idea. It sucks now. MTV2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 should play those dumb shows. Not the original one. That should be reserved for music…. as in ‘MUSIC Television.’ Kids today honestly have NO IDEA WHY ITS CALLED MTV IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!
"I think schools should do away with half of the crap that they teach….like those intense math courses. Calculus, trigonometry, the seconds and thirds of those. If you have decided by the 10th grade that you literally HATE those subjects, then I think it’s safe to say you will not be working a job or have a career with those useless facts.
Instead, I think they should teach you how to deal with relationships. Not just dating advice, but relationships in everyday life. How to deal with gossip, rumors, bullying, liars, back stabbers, and of course bf/gf stuff. Like “What do I do if I get pregnant or get someone else pregnant and I’m not in love with them?” Or “How do I deal with parents that disapprove of my relationship with their child?” How about “How do I stand up for myself when a co-worker is a bully?” Just real life situations.
Why is it that the hard stuff that we have to deal with our whole lives, we have to learn on our own, but they force feed us tons of information that we KNOW we’ll never use in the real world?? Why not teach kids how to handle tough life decisions and let them learn the things that have an actual 100% correct answer on our own and on a need-to-know basis?? I know there’s been a million times where something has happened to me and I literally had no idea what to do and I felt like I was the only person that has ever had to deal with that situation. I felt SO alone. At that moment, it would have been nice to have had Life 101 back in high school.”
If you are big boned, have a thyroid problem, have a debilitating disease, or are very active, but still can’t seem to lose weight…..this rant is not directed towards you.
HOWEVER, if you fat or overweight because of laziness and lack of caring about your body, you are disgusting. Call it fat-shaming, call it mean….I don’t have to care. We are all entitled to our opinion. It’s not so much disgusting because fat, itself, is disgusting….it’s disgusting because you are unhealthy. If you choose to be unhealthy, whether it be because of your weight, your sexual appetite, drug abuse, etc., that is SO friggin’ disgusting. Why would anyone not do whatever it takes to make their body as healthy as possibly?
As far as fat goes, if you did your best to lose some weight and get to an average weight for your height, you’d have more energy, you’d be less out of breath after a day’s work, your lifespan would drastically increase which would be more time to help the world in some way or spend time with loved ones, the chances of falling into a depression would dwindle and stress would not be as intense in your life because it’s proven that overweight people tend to be more stressed and are more likely to fall into depression. Not to mention you wouldn’t have to make up excuses for your looks.
Don’t get me wrong, I feel the same way on the opposite end of the spectrum, if you are lose too much weight in an effort to not be fat, that’s disgusting, too because skinny can be gross, as well. I hate that corporate America has pushed this idea of skinny being beautiful. Models, dancers, whatever….healthy is what’s attractive to me. Eating right, exercising, and taking care of yourself in every aspect of your life. Mmm….lookin’ good.
If you’re too skinny OR too fat, you’re unhealthy…..and unhealthy is disgusting to me. I don’t like it when people make excuses for ‘plus size’ people. If you are OVERWEIGHT, that in itself means you are unhealthy. But like I said, I know some people can’t help it and for those people, my heart goes out to you. I come from a family in which a lot of the older generation has packed on more pounds than they should. So I will have to try extra hard to make sure that my later years are healthy years.
You can hate me for my beliefs, that’s fine, cause they are just that……MY beliefs. I’m putting it out there for the world to see, so therefore in a way, I’m inviting criticism. However, if I can effect one person and push them to have a healthier lifestyle, then I’ve done a good deed. I’m ok with that.
I’m sure most veg*ns will agree with me when I say PETA is a horrible organization. People always ask me “You’re a vegan? You like PETA, right?” Every time I tell them no, they won’t fucking…
CriscoZ here. I agree with every single bit of this except the fat-shaming. If you have a disability or a disease that causes you to gain and/or not lose weight, I understand. However, if you are just fat because you don’t care enough about yourself to be healthier, that’s your right, but it’s also my right to be disgusted by that. Why would anyone just be happy with being over weight?? Being thin and healthy has so much more to offer. Exercise and good eating habits are key in this life. You’d have more energy. Your lifespan would increase drastically. You’d look and feel better. It’s a proven fact that people carrying around more weight than is healthy are more likely to be stressed and often fall into intense depression. So why would anyone choose to be over weight. To me, when you refuse to take care of your body, that is absolutely disgusting.
