I hope my daughter, Madilyn, enjoys being a female when she grows up.  However, if she doesn’t….I’ll do my best to make sure HE has the happiest life possible. 

Turns out the victim doesn't think it was a hate crime.

I’m posting this because I originally posted a thread stating that it was a hate crime because Mallory Owens was gay.  I don’t want to post anything that turns out to not be true.  Mallory doesn’t believe it was because she was gay.  Regardless to the fact, the abuser should be put in prison because a violent act like this shouldn’t be tolerated.

For a long time…

I’ve been very opinionated on gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgendered living.  Not for or against, just opinionated.  I was actually AGAINST the whole transgendered thing because I didn’t and still don’t understand it.  If you’re born with a penis and not a vagina, you’re a guy.  I don’t care how you feel.  If you feel like a women, want to wear makeup, want to date guys…..cool, do it.  But don’t get a sex change.  Regardless of your religion, this is how the ‘universe’ wanted you to be.  More so than this, don’t flaunt your transgenderedness.  If I flaunted the fact that I’m a man on a daily basis and talked about my penis all the time, I’d be looked at as a douche.  So will you.  QUIT IT.  It’s annoying.  I can’t help but see it as, you WEREN’T born this way.  You made yourself this way.   

HOWEVER, my wife pointed something out to me.  No one ever said it was my business.  How is someone getting a sex change going to effect me??  It’s not.  A third world war is not going to break out.  It’s not going to start a zombie apocalypse.  It’s not going to change government spending.  It might mean that you can’t have your chosen sex on your ID, but still….this doesn’t effect me.    

My point is, it’s none of your business what other people do unless it effects you directly.  If the government does something that cuts spending to something you enjoy/need or your boss demands something new of the company you work for……THIS effects you.  What some guy/girl does with his/her penis/vagina is none of your business.  Regardless of what your religion and viewpoint is on the subject, getting mad at this is just like getting mad at someone for dying their hair.  If they have a penis and they want a vagina, they can get it.  “But hair color can be changed back once they change their mind on it.”  Guess what???  So can a sex change operation.  Shut up.  

If this isn’t the lifestyle you want, don’t have it.  There.  Problem solved.  Why bring your hate on others??
